Hodges Greenhouse is a second generation family business. HGH was founded in 1972 by Mark Hodge Sr. The business begun with a few greenhouses. Now it boasts over 100 acres of production with over 40 employees.
Foliage Division:
The foliage division grows all of our indoor house plants and leaf and vine material .Golden Pothos and Ivy with its sub varieties take up approx 15 acres of green house production.

Landscape Division:
With over 50 acres of production and over 200 acres of trees HGH can provide the landscape trade with over 150 varieties of landscape material.

Liner Division:
The liner division propagates all of the landscape liners and a large amount of Pothos and ivy. The 48,000 sq foot mist house is fully computerized and automated. With a staff of 5 horticulturalists the mist house assures production of fresh healthy material from the start of the growth cycle.

- Over-watering is a common problem with interior plants - when in doubt do not water!
- It is easier for a plant to recover from under-watering than it is for it to recover from over-watering.
- Use your finger or a soil probe to check your plants' need for water. Probe into the soil as far as possible.
- A good rule-of-thumb is to water until the water comes out the bottom of the container.
- A balanced slow release fertilizer (14-14-14) works best for your interior plants. Look for one that lasts three or four months.
- For a quick green up try a 20-20-20 analysis liquid fertilizer mixed at half strength.
